Pre-employment questionnaires and medicals

We believe it is appropriate to screen a employee's fitness prior to placement in order to identify significant health problems. We can advise you about the employers duties under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). With the DDA, an employer should be made aware of any underlying medical conditions in their employee, if that condition is ongoing, and of the appropriate recommended work modifications or restrictions that need to be put in place. The employer also needs to know if regular review by Occupational Health is recommended and how long reasonable adjustments should be in place.

We can provide a confidential service analysing your pre-placement questionnaires. if you prefer, we can receive questionnaires directly in a sealed envelope. We can advise on the need for, and then arrange, GP reports or Occupational Medicals after obtaining signed consent on one of our forms. To reduce your costs we will try to obtain relevant information with employees over the phone whenever possible.

Pre-employment medicals

We are experienced in carrying out pre-employment medicals for various types of employment. When necessary we can administer specialist questionnaires to determine a propensity to dermatitis, asthma or hand-arm-vibration.
